In the Beef 2 DVD, it was revealed that Solo was in the middle of a “business feud” with Ice Cube in during the time when Cube was embroiled in a beef with Cypress Hill. The Cypress Hill "Beef" was major because of the magnitude of people that could have gotten involved. And i don't think Cypress Hill beat the Westside Connection in that fued, even though Cube was in the wrong and he got "beat up" and his chain taking. Ice Cube did a rap with Westside Connection called Bow Down about how the East Coast should bow to the West Coast rap scene and admit being bested, and a lot of East Siders including Kam did not like this so much.
The story is in Beef 2 that Cube got into a fight with Big Solo of Kam and Solo over financial issues since they were being managed by Cube at that time, it had nothing to do with Cypress Hill. In this clip, Mack 10 went more in-depth about the Westside Connection beef with Cypress Hill. Even though they did gangsta rap I never saw Cypress Hill as being hardcore since most of their audience and touring companions were rockers and stoners. Still can't figure out why Cube decided to say "You're getting fucked real quick And Eazy's dick is smelling like MC Ren's shit" that line throws me off everytime, because on one hand he's bringing heat, but on the other hand that's a weird way to put it. - Ice Cube and Cypress Hill were cool with each other and worked with each other in the studio - Ice Cube straight up stole a hook Cypress Hill was gonna use as a single (and he did, he stole that shit and put it on the Friday soundtrack, lol).
